The Italian contemporary label Forte Forte has opened its first US store on Melrose Place in Los Angeles.
The boutique has been designed by Co-Founder Giada Forte and Robert Vattilana, Art Director and Forte’s life partner. The store is situated on the ground floor of a 1930s building, characterised by two store windows that open onto the street and are framed by a sage green enamelled metal façade.
The store is described as a ‘multidimensional space that is both emotional and geographical’ offering a take on California modernism in contrast with Italian materials and finishes. The store’s lightness is balanced with angular and metallic geometry as well as furnishings that add further depth such as a large circular bench, with perforated leather cushions, seats in curved wood covered with golf lead and a power-coloured daybed with golden studs.
The dressing rooms are situated at the back of the shop behind two curved brass doors with large portholes.
