Akiba Dori, the home of modern Japanese street food, has opened its fourth space across the UAE.
Located in the newly launched shopping and lifestyle destination, Dubai Hills Mall, the latest outpost offers a fresh perspective from the brand, set to suit families.
Samer S. Hamadeh said to Caterer Middle East: “It feels so great to be able to grow our team. Seeing our chefs and front-of-house staff grow with the brand is really one of the most rewarding experiences for me because this team quite literally made Akiba Dori what it is today.”
Hamadeh isn’t a fan of the copy-paste method. He said: “Every Akiba Dori outpost has its own style. We like to get inspired by our location instead of trying to impose a predetermined visual identity on where we are going. This also makes it more interesting for customers, in my experience.”
Dubai Hills Mall is no different as the interiors at Akiba Dori Dubai Hills Mall, feature tall neon-lit yellow arches surrounding a central dining space. The restaurant offers a seating capacity of 92 and is surrounded with classic Akiba Dori style signage, paying tribute to the brand’s signature street-inspired look-and-feel, with hues of complementary pinks and blues, highlighting wooden and marble table-tops over polished chequered flooring.
