Frasers Property Australia will begin the construction of a new shopping centre at The Grove community in Tarneit in mid-next year.
Covering 167ha, The Grove will comprise a mix of land, house-and-land packages and townhomes and will eventually be home to 2,600 families.
The shopping centre will house more than 20 retail outlets across 4,000sq m, including a bakery, greengrocer, nail bar, pizza restaurant, Chemist Warehouse outlet and Anytime Fitness gym. A full-sized Woolworths supermarket will be the anchor tenant.
There will also be a learn-to-swim school with a 25m pool, Hungry Jacks fast food outlet, service station and a car wash, along with parking for 320 cars. The venue has two sections divided by Bethany Rd and linked by a pedestrian crossing and reserve. Construction of the Tarneit shopping centre is expected to take two years to complete.
