Free People Arrives in Paris

After testing the French market by opening its first store in Nice in 2019, the women’s fashion brand of the American group URBN (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Nuuly, etc.) is making its debut in the capital this summer with two openings.

The brand with bohemian and trendy accents has set its sights on a 230sq m point of sale located at 12 rue Mahler (4th arrondissement), which neighbours brands such as Carven or Cotélac. The store, lit by a skylight dating from the 19th century, will open its doors on 7 July.

“We had been looking for the right location for five years,” explains Leighanne Jones, the label’s Creative Director. Only ten streets were targeted by the brand, which therefore chose the Marais district for its “very creative and attractive atmosphere, with its small shops”.

Free People will not stop there since a second store will be inaugurated in the French capital on 1 September. The brand will flourish this time on the left bank, in the chic district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, at 27 rue Saint-Sulpice (6th arrondissement).
