Funko Unveils 200sq m Pop-Up Store

Running for at least five months, Funko – the world’s largest proprietor of licenses has partnered with the world-famous Changi Airport to launch a pop-up store in the departure hall of the newly renovated Terminal 2.

The 200sq m experiential space will be the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. From this week, Singapore will be offering visitors a plethora of interactive moments from Funko. This will include photo opportunities with Funko statues such as Harry Potter, Groot and Batman, which will be available for the first time ever in Singapore. There will also be ‘Pop! Boxes’, plus an activity space where fans of all ages are encouraged to unleash their creativity, and much more!

Senior Regional Director Asia: Funko Far East, Andy Clempson said of the new pop-up store, “We are delighted and excited to be working on this special project with CAG through our long-term Singapore Distribution partner Simply Toys. Changi airport is an iconic, world-renowned gateway to Asia, and this collaboration allows us to present our Funko brands to new consumers whilst allowing our existing international Funko fans to really “follow their fun” in a truly immersive experience.”

Ann Goh, Managing Director of Simply Toys added: “We are very delighted to work with Changi Airport Group to bring this Funko pop-up event to life. This will be the first time so many Funko statues will be brought together in this part of the world and will certainly delight any Funko collector.”
