The Japanese brand Casio joins forces with the Colombian Timesquare to open the first G-Shock store in Colombia, with a location in Bogotá.
The brand’s new space is located in the Mall Plaza shopping centre and would be the first of five stores that the firm plans to open in the country.
“We started our alliance in July 2023, which was when the first import arrived and already having a G-Shock Store operated by us is great news. We take on the challenge by supporting the sale of G-Shock in our Timesquare stores in Colombia,” William Ruiz, Brand Manager of the brand for Timesquare in Colombia informed LR.
G-Shock, one of Casio’s most successful lines, also represents an advanced range for the Japanese company. The anti-shock technology of the Japanese watchmaking house has been on the market for more than 30 years with great success. The fashion trend of the 80s and 90s has cemented the fame of watches with antigravitational shock technology (G-Shock).
Colombia continues to expand its portfolio of international brands with alliances between local investors and foreign partners that allow international brands to have successful inroads into the national market.
