The brand is increasing its commitment to the Spanish market and has reintroduced its women’s line at El Corte Inglés.
The brand stopped selling its women’s clothing in the group of department stores in 2018, but is now recovering this channel with the opening of six corners.
The commercial spaces, as detailed by the firm in a statement, are distributed in various centres of the distribution group in Madrid, Seville, Córdoba, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, and are added to the 64 corners in which Gant sells its men’s collection in El Corte Inglés since 2002.
This batch of openings is part of Gant’s expansion plan in Spain, which is completed with the digitization of the business in all channels as the axis of the new strategy developed by the company.
Founded in 1949 by Bernard Gantmacher on the East Coast of the United States, Gant is part of the portfolio of the French group MF Brands (also owner of brands such as The Kooples, Lacoste or Aigle) and is present in 70 markets through 750 points of sale.
