The store is displaying signs stating that items are on sale with discounts of up to 30 or 60 per cent.
The American fashion giant currently operates more than 70 stores across the UK and 158 franchise stores across Europe, as well as a number of company-owned stores. The company is now said to be exploring operating in Europe through partnerships – both online and in physical stores.
The news comes after the company was considering closing its entire European store estate from next year. At the time, Head of Global Operations at Gap, commented: “As we conduct the review, we will look at transferring elements of the business to interested third parties as part of a proposed partnership model expansion.”
Gap will still operate another large flagship location in London, located opposite Bond Street underground station.
