Italian Footwear retailer Geox has reported a 39% year-on-year decline in sales for the six months to 30 June.
Despite the year getting off to a good start with stores recording positive sales, Italian sales dropped 48%, European sales declined 35% and sales in North America dropped by 46% due to store closures bought on by the pandemic and the repercussions on the economy and consumers health.
Despite this, sales across the groups direct ecommerce channel have grown by 40% year on year in the same period.
