Chinese luxury brand Goelia has opened nine new stores this month, coinciding with the nation’s 2024 National Day Golden Week celebrations.
The womenswear marque opened six new stores across China during the national holiday week that ran from 1 October to 7 October, as well as three stores in Singapore, where flagships were launched consecutively at Jewel Changi Airport and Orchard Road in the lion city.
Each of the three Singapore stores reflects Goelia’s love for nature and sustainability, with the interiors designed to mimic “the changing seasons”. With the opening of three stores, the brand said it is expanding its investment in the Singapore market.
The company called out Singapore as a global hub for international trade, thanks to its transhipment port and air transport network connecting Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania. It also described Singapore as an influential and multicultural consumer city, identifying the Southeast Asian nation as a pivotal step in its international expansion strategy.
The brand also noted its recent rapid expansion across Asia falls within the context of a global downturn in luxury consumption and shuttering of physical stores by other brands.
