Gucci Opens New Tokyo Store

The recently-opened Gucci Namiki unit in Ginza is the brand’s second flagship in Tokyo’s upscale district.

The store’s concept has been guided by Creative Director Alessandro Michele, completely unique in design, the new concept will not be replicated at any other store. The first and second levels use materials inspired by Japanese traditional bamboo work and have been exclusively developed for Gucci Namiki.

The opening of the store will unfold in three parts – the first two floors will be opened to the public on April 29. Occupying a space of more than 7,776sq ft, the two floors will carry a full range of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, luggage, accessories, shoes, jewellery, silks, belts, watches, eyewear, fragrances, and the Gucci Décor collection.

The third floor, which is scheduled to open in Autumn, will house the Gucci Apartment which will allow privacy and be dedicated to made-to-order, personalisation and other special services. Also opening later in the year is Gucci Osteria de Massimo Bottura. Located on the fourth floor, with a menu curated by three-Michelin-star chef Massimo Bottura, the new dining experience pays close attention to the area and region.
