Gucci Unveils Namiki Flagship Design

The Italian luxury brand has launched a new giant flagship store in Ginza, which is set to house the first Gucci Osteria restaurant in Asia.

The store’s concept has been conceived by Creative Director, Alessandro Michele and Gucci have commented that the design will not be replicated anywhere else in the world. The opening of the new store, which occupies three stories in a building on Namiki-dori Street will unfold in three parts.

The first two floors were unveiled yesterday, Thursday April 29. A full range of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, luggage, accessories, shoes, jewellery, silks, belts, watches, eyewear, fragrances and the Gucci Décor collection will sit in a space of more than 7,776sq ft. The brand will also offer exclusive pieces, such as handbags made from precious leathers and distinctive jewellery.

The third floor is expected to open this fall, and will house the Gucci Apartment. This allows customers to book an appointment, allowing more privacy and a personalised service. Additionally, later in the year, a Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura will open on the fourth level of the building. The menu will be curated by the three-Michelin-star chef Massimo Bottura.
