Gulf Marketing Group Acquires Royal Sporting House

The Dubai-based company will now operate over 550 sports retail stores in 57 cities across 12 countries.

Founded in 1977 in Singapore, Royal Sporting House boasts an impressive portfolio that encompasses apparel, footwear and accessories from internationally-renowned brands including Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Under Armour, Speedo and Saucony.

The recent acquisition will now see GMG operate over 550 sports retail stores, including more than 1.9 million square feet of physical retail space, 10 warehouses and close to 8000 employees. Gulf Marketing Group hopes that with this acquisition they can expand their presence in the GCC and enter new markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Egypt.
