H-E-B Expands in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

The San Antonio-based grocery giant has opened in Mansfield, Texas, a city southeast of Fort Worth. The 128,000sq ft store joins the recently opened H-E-B locations in Frisco, Plano, McKinney and Alliance in Dallas.

In other expansion in the DFW area, H-E-B is planning to open stores in Melissa and Prosper, both of which are now under construction. It recently broke ground on a site in Rockwall, which is expected to open in late 2025.

Designed to reflect the character unique to its local community, H-E-B in Mansfield store also emphasizes environmental sustainability, with energy-efficient features such as CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting. The location also features extensive native landscaping.

The new H-E-B includes a True Texas BBQ restaurant with drive-thru as well as a Texas Backyard, department with a selection of outdoor essentials. It also boasts an extensive craft beer and wine section with a sampling station, a bakery featuring the grocery’s signature in-store made, warm tortillas and curbside pickup of online orders.
