The grocery powerhouse is opening a multi-level store with stunning lake views and multiple restaurant offerings.
The new 97,000sq ft location will open in Austin on February 15 and will offer a huge amount of unique features that are designed to make the store a community gathering place, such as a two-storey porch with views of Lake Austin, a full bar with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a coffee shop which will serve handmade breakfast tacos amongst other things.
In addition to these offerings, the new H-E-B location will house a True Texas BBQ, which was named the best barbecue restaurant chain by Texas Monthly, and a SouthFlo Pizza eatery.
Structured underground parking will allow for a welcoming, pedestrian-friendly perimeter, whilst other design elements include sidewalks that are wide enough to encourage walking to the store, and a street-level landscape which softens the building’s impact on the neighbourhood.
