The Dublin store has been closed since March 19 due to the Coronavirus-induced lockdown.

A number of Harvey Nichols locations across the UK stayed closed despite being allowed to reopen in June. The company had not previously given a firm reopening date for the store, fuelling rumours that the location would be staying permanently shut. It has been reported that the company had intended to reopen the store in early November, however the Level 5 lockdown in the Republic of Ireland caused a delay in this.

The company is now expected to reopen the Dundrum store in early December, meaning that it will have little time to take advantage of holiday shoppers. The company, like many others has had an exceptionally difficult year and has lost around three-quarters of its trading year.

Dundrum Centre Director Don Nugent said that the mall will be back to 100 per cent occupancy upon reopening in early December.
