Hatta to Undergo Development Programme

Six amazing new developments are coming to the region, including waterfalls, chairlifts and a world-class hotel.

The developments have just been given the green light from Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He commented: “Hatta is a model for small cities in the region. It has turned within a short period of time into one of the most important tourist destinations in the emirate, thanks to its different lifestyle.”

The projects will see the installation of 504km-worth of chairlifts, a purpose-made Dubai mountain peak (Jebel Umm Al Nisour) will provide pristine views from 1,300m above sea-level, and Hatta’s very own sustainable waterfalls. Meanwhile, a world-class hotel and 200 holiday homes will support tourism in the district and even more hiking trails will allow visitors to safely traverse the rocks.

Sheikh Mohammed continues: “The development and tourism projects in Hatta will have a significant impact on promoting national tourism and providing a distinctive tourism and cultural experience for visitors and the community.”
