In spite of the potentially damaging effects of the Coronavirus, work on the mega project actually accelerated during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Intended to be completed and opened by 2023, the ambitious Heart of Europe project will be unlike any other experience in the world. The Heart of Europe offers an entirely different, magical and unique island experience for residents and tourists alike. With such an ambitious project ahead, the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic was a threat that could have put the whole construction of the project in jeopardy.
Kleindeinst Group, the company behind the $5bn Heart of Europe project has revealed that six months’ worth of work was completed withinfour months. Currently 2000 guest rooms are being built as part of the first phase of the development before construction work begins on the second phase of the development which will see the development of Switzerland Island, a Venetian-style Lido resort and the Marbella hotel.
“Our productivity during coronavirus improved. We had around 1200 people here. The same number of people did more work. In four months of island lockdown we did the work of six months. After we opened the island again we saw immediately it came back to the old levels. We could not maintain this high level of work without lockdown.”
