Heart of Europe’s ‘Monaco’ Set for Soft Opening

The Middle East’s largest swimming pool, measuring 12,000sq m is set to be launched as part of the Côte d’Azur Resort in June.

The huge swimming pool, Grand Azur, will form part of the heart of the Côte d’Azur Resort and consists of four connected blue water lagoons, shaped as rolling waves with a white edge that emulate the Mediterranean’s natural ‘froth’. The pool has a perimeter of more than 1km and contains a huge 14,000 cubic metres of sustainably-desalinated water.

The pool utilises solar energy to illuminate, recycle, heat and cool the water. Water temperature will be kept at 28˚ Celsius due to solar-powered pumps. The swimming pool experience is completed with lush rain forest landscapes, floating sunbed cabanas, a pool bar and DJ pods.

The Grand Azur lagoons are linked and weaved between the Côte d’Azur’s boutique hotels. Monaco, Nice, Cannes and St. Tropez, the hotels are all named after picturesque French Riviera hotspots. The Monaco hotel will begin to welcome guests during a ‘soft’ launch in June. All four of the hotels are scheduled for an official opening in October.
