The meal-kit maker is set to open a new 25,500sq m production facility at Ravenhall in Australia, Victoria.
Upon completion, the Tuckerbox location will be the largest facility of its kind in the nation. The production and distribution centre will increase the speed of deliveries to destinations in Victoria and other nearby states. It will also reduce delivery distances for some of the company’s suppliers.
The brand has worked on reducing carbon emissions through the new facility by reducing delivery route times and using a number of environmental features, such as skylights to maximise natural light.
“The launch of our third and largest Australian chilled production facility marks an impressive milestone for the business and will allow us to better serve our growing customer base,” commented HelloFresh Australia CEO, Tom Rutledge.
He continues: “Ultimately our focus is to continuously improve the product offering to our customers and how we can increase the value, convenience, and accessibility of our service. The Tuckerbox, with its size, situation, and sophistication provides a tremendous platform for us to realise these objectives over the years to come.
