ibis, a leader in accessible high-quality and affordable accommodation, today announces the opening of ibis Tbilisi City, the brand family’s seventh hotel in Georgia’s capital.
Located in the Ortachala district, a vibrant area home to numerous local attractions and government offices, the newly built hotel offers convenient access to the historic old town, shopping districts, and key transport links, making it an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers.
Globally, ibis is renowned for its modern design, openness, and warm hospitality. This year marks the brand’s 50th anniversary since becoming the first hotel brand in Europe to democratise high-quality, comfortable stays. Since its launch in 1974, ibis has revolutionised economy hospitality, setting a benchmark for accessible and affordable travel experiences. Today, the ibis brand family leads the global economy hotel sector, with more than 2,600 hotels and nearly 300,000 rooms, across three distinct brands – ibis, ibis Styles, and ibis budget.
ibis Tbilisi City is the last addition to Accor’s growing portfolio in Georgia, which now includes 12 hotels across the country. The new hotel is developed and managed by Archi Hospitality, part of Archi Holding. Archi boasts a diverse portfolio of residential complexes, including 50 completed and 26 ongoing projects across Tbilisi and Georgia’s sea and mountain resorts, as well as local and international branded hotels and aparthotels. This new opening marks the first joint project between Accor and Archi.

The new hotel offers 156 stylish rooms across different various including premium, superior, double, twin, and accessible rooms. The design of rooms and public areas is based the brand’s modular concept, Agora, which features cohesive materials and colours that extends from the outside to the inside. Each room is equipped the innovative Sweet Bed™ by ibis, workspaces with high-speed internet, and flat-screen LCD TVs with a wide selection of TV channels.
