IGA Partners with DoorDash

The partnership will provide an on-demand grocery service from more than 100 stores, in as little as 45 minutes.

Indepdent supermarket network IGA is the first supermarket group in Australia to partner with DoorDash for an on-demand grocery delivery service. More than 1,600 products are now listed on the DoorDash app and the service is available in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Cairns, Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Wollongong, Rockhampton, Townsville, Albury and Bathurst.

Following a successful launch, the service will then be rolled out to a number of other locations.

Chase Gardner, Head of Enterprise Partnerships in Australia for DoorDash, commented: “Reaching more than 75 per cent of Australians across the country, DoorDash is in a great position to support IGA’s network of stores nationwide and provide customers with convenient, reliable and cashless store-to-door deliveries.”

The move supports DoorDash’s plans to expand into other sectors than restaurants, including grocery, convenience, retail and pet supplies.
