IKEA Adds Szczecin Store in Poland

A new IKEA site has been launched by the Ingka Group which has an area of almost 30,000sq m, with the company claiming it will be the last store of that size in the country.

“I think that the opening of a store in Szczecin shows perfectly how much our impact on the sustainable development of the markets in which we operate can be. I hope that we will inspire customers in Szczecin and the entire region to a better and healthier life at home. 2021 is an exceptional year for IKEA in Poland, because we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of our operation in Poland, so I am all the more happy that we are opening a new IKEA store in Szczecin right now,” said Karin Sköld, President and General Director of Sustainable Development at IKEA Retail Polska.

With this new store launch, the Ingka Group in Poland now has a dozen IKEA stores along with sixty-four IKEA Order Collection Points (including Mobile Points and stores), which are managed by IKEA Retail. It also owns five shopping centres managed by Ingka Centers Polska and the Distribution Center located in Jarostach near Piotrków Trybunalski, supplying 32 IKEA stores in 11 markets.
