The well-known Swedish brand will expand its surface area at the location by as much as 800sq m, giving them a total area of 2,000sq m.
Double the surface area, direct sales of some products and a wider representation of Swedish food products are just some of the novelties that IKEA will present in its new City Shop format at the 7 Palmas Shopping and Leisure Center, which will be the first of its kind in the Canady Islands.
Of the planned 2,000sq m, around 1,200sq m will be allocated to serving customers, a move which is centred on the company wanting to improve the experience of their clients whilst also bringing design and inspiration closer to the public.
This expansion responds to IKEA’s continuous search to explore new formats, locations and improvements to be more and more accessible to citizens. This expansion becomes a key milestone in the brand’s history; to continue betting on Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and on the 7 Palmas Shopping and Leisure Center , which are both set to be an important part of its evolution.
