Dubai-based Immersive Experience (IEX) has revealed plans to double its virtual reality portfolio in the next five years.
The company has successfully launched a selection of virtual reality offerings to date including XStrike, a live-action combat simulation concept, MultiVrse – a bespoke virtual reality theme park and WipeOutPark, an experience based on the infamous television show. The company was also set to open Woo Hoo, an experimental edutainment centre aimed at both parents and their children, however due to the coronavirus pandemic this has been delayed.
Co-founder and Managing Partner Sameer Ali said in a statement: “We are looking at expanding. We’re looking at multiple stores in the UAE. We’re looking at expanding across Dubai and Abu Dhabi at the moment. We’re also looking at inter-GCC expansion, so we’re looking at Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
We currently have five concepts in our portfolio and we don’t see any reason why we can’t double that in the next five years.”
