The newly formed retail group has acquired food-to-go operator Chop’d for an undisclosed sum.
The deal will see Inc Retail Group, recently formed by Inc & Co acquire all 13 Chop’d sites. There are currently 10 in London and one each in Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool all of which will stay open. As part of the acquisition there will be a significant investment in expanding the Chop’d menu offering, website and back-end ordering systems.
Chop’d offers customer’s breakfasts, salads, soups, wraps and stews all made from the highest-quality ingredients. The brand is committed to sustainability and in 2018 launched their first 100 per cent recycled salad bowl.
Dan Shaw, Managing Director at Inc Retail Group, commented: “Chop’d have a unique product offering which fits perfectly within the retail group and as a brand has always sourced 100 per cent of its produce from the UK, including having saved over 3.5 million plastic bags from going to waste since inception.”
