Indian QSR Chain Burger Singh Accelerates Expansion

Burger Singh is the quintessential Indian success story. Founded by Kabir Jeet Singh on his return from Birmingham, Burger Singh was born in November 2014 with the vision of becoming India’s largest Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chain. In 8 short years, Burger Singh has rapidly made its mark on the Indian fast food industry. At 100+ stores in 50+ cities, they are the fastest-growing burger chain of Indian origin and have the country’s 3rd highest burger delivery volumes.

Burger Singh has announced its entry in Jharkhand with the launch of six new outlets at different locations – Bokaro Steel City, Bokaro, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and Ranchi. Also, it intends to hire 80 employees to man the new outlets in Jharkhand.

The QSR chain plans to expand its presence in the eastern belt of India and has already set up a new warehouse in Kolkata.

“Our desi burgers have received much love and appreciation from every neighbourhood, every city and every state we have entered in. And now armed with a potent combination of our signature desi twist and unparalleled customer service, we aim to win over the hearts of people in Jharkhand,” said Kabir Jeet Singh, founder & chief executive officer, Burger Singh.

Launched just over eight years ago, Burger Singh had a total of 50 stores in 2022. Now, it is present at more than 100 locations with 83 operational stores and 24 fit-outs across 54 cities.

The company plans to further expand its retail footprints with 35 outlets in Maharashtra, eight in Madhya Pradesh, eight in Odisha and 43 in Northeast India.

“It is a source of great pride for us to know that we are closer to our dream of making Burger Singh burgers available to people across Bharat. We are able to do so thanks to the passionate interest from entrepreneurs nationwide who are eager to open Burger Singh franchises in their towns and cities and introduce their communities to indulge in the gastronomical delight we serve in the form of our fusion burgers,” said Rahul Seth, co-founder, Burger Singh.
