Indonesian coffee shop Toko Kopi Tuku has launched its first pop-up coffee shop in South Korea’s Seoul, marking its international debut.
Located in the bustling Gangnam district, the Tuku Gangnam coffee shop launched in partnership with Kornerd Coffee, one of Seoul’s most influential coffee industry players, and runs for a month from March 25.
The pop-up will offer Tuku’s well-known ‘iced latte with aren sugar’ (a beverage sweetened by the sap of the Aren palm tree), as well as a selection of special Indonesian coffee blends.
“This is our third trip to South Korea, and with each visit, my admiration for the country’s creative industry and vibrant coffee culture grew stronger,” said Andanu Prasetyo, CEO and Founder of Toko Kopi Tuku.
“It’s this very fascination that fuels our wish to bring with us our Tuku flavors, right from the corner of Cipete in Jakarta to Seoul, hoping not to just meet new faces, but also to learn and explore.”
Founded in Jakarta in 2015, Toko Kopi Tuku has locations across Indonesia, in addition to its pop-up in South Korea.
