A YOUNG East Lancashire entrepreneur has opened her first high street shop at the weekend .
Briony Gorton opened her Burnley shop, Talliah Rose, to the public on Saturday.
As her business continues to grow and she plans to dominate big cities such as Manchester, Briony says her flagship store in Burnley will always remain “the most important”.
Briony, who used to work in nearby River Island, said: “I will never forget the opening weekend and this will always be the most important store no matter where we open.
“It’s a shop you can visit and know you will be able to find a last minute outfit for a night out.”
Briony describes the shop as “luxurious yet affordable” and thinks it is the perfect addition to Burnley’s high street.
Talliah Rose has amassed 211,000 Instagram followers while Briony herself has achieved ‘influencer’ status on her personal account, with 223,000 followers.
Briony said some of her fans even made their way down to the shop.
She said: “I had a young fan come in on Sunday who started crying.
“She said she had an epiphany moment reading my story and now thinks she can follow her dreams – she was bawling.
“I don’t see myself an ‘influencer’ or feel any different to anyone else but it is so nice to be an inspiration to young people.”
While the shop has only been open for a matter of days, Briony thinks they will need to relocate to a bigger store if business continues to bloom.
She said: “We’ve only been open three days but I already think I will need a bigger store in the next 12 months if we continue the way we are as it gets busy quite quickly.”
In the future, she is considering expanding her clothing range to include plus size and maternity clothes and she currently stocks sizes 4-16.
