Uogashi Nihonichi and Nana’s Green Tea, both Japanese businesses, are expanding their retail base with their first sites in Hong Kong.
With 73 stores nationwide as well as foreign sites in Singapore, Taiwan, the US, Canada, and Australia, Nana’s Green Tea is the largest matcha-branded coffee chain in Japan and was introduced to Hong Kong by Cafe Deco Group.
Located at The Airside, the store covers more than 1,600sq ft with 60 seats and is decorated in the style of a modern Japanese tea house, offering matcha-flavoured drinks, desserts and savoury foods in a delightful ambience.
Meanwhile, in collaboration with Cafe Deco Group, fresh fish specialist Uogashi Nihonichi has inaugurated its first store outside Japan at The Airside. Uogashi Nihonichi is well-known for its standing sushi bar, where patrons eat while standing.
The 700sq ft location is fashioned in a traditional style, with wood and a light-brown colour scheme echoing the Edomae character. Customers can what the chef’s expertise right in front of their eyes.
