Japan’s First Ever eSports Gym to Open in Tokyo

Visitors to the eSports gym can book three house slots at PCs and pay for coaching sessions from professional gamers.

The gaming space is set to open on May 19 and will be known as ‘eSports Gym’ and will include a lounge and gaming PCs which are complete with some of Japan’s most popular games, including Valorant and League of Legends.

A three hour time slot at one of the gaming PCs will cost around $13 or visitors can opt to buy a monthly membership, which will being at around $50. The membership will allow daily access to the PCs alongside optional coaching sessions that can be added for $25 an hour.

The new eSports Gym, which is jointly operated by Tokyo Metro and eSports education company, Gecipe, will be accessible to both experienced gamers and those who are new to gaming and might not necessarily understand the rules.
