The British sports and streetwear retailer is expanding its existing space more than threefold with a new concept store.
JD Sports is moving its existing store within Westfield Centro in Oberhausen, and will open one of their largest mega-stores in Germany, spanning around 1,250sq m, in the autumn of this year. Boasting a new innovative concept, the brand is increasing its rental space by nearly 900sq m and the handover of the space by owner and operator of Westfield Centro, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, has already taken place.
Once complete, customers can expect a store which focuses on lifestyle and multichannel offerings alongside a great collection of brands including Nike, adidas, Puma and The North Face as well as JD Sports’ strong own brands Pink Soda and Supply & Demand.
“With this extraordinary mega-store by JD Sports, we are once again strengthening the profile of Westfield Centro in the sports and streetwear segment,” says Constantin Wiesmann, Director of Leasing Austria & Germany, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. “The significant expansion of space and the implementation of the new, innovative store concept prove again that Westfield Centro is the first address for retailers who want to offer flagship formats and special brand experiences in physical retail.”
