The British sporting retailer has opened its 80th store in Valencia in the city of Turia, consolidating its presence in Spain.
The new 506sq m store houses a number of well-known international brands such as Nike, Ellesse, Adidas, Fila and Vans as well as its own brands, Supply & Demand and Pink Soda. The store, which opened on October 2, employs 33 people, as detailed in a statement issued by the company.
This is the fifth store that the British retailer has opened in Valencia, all of which have been inaugurated throughout 2021. In May of this year, the brand opened its first point of sale in the city in the Arena Multiespacio shopping centre; a second opened in the Epicentre Complex in Sagunto; in June the brand opened in Nuevo Centro and in July a street level store opened in the capital with an establishment on Calle Xátiva.
This will be the last opening of JD Sports in the Levante area in 2021 – the brand has opened ten spaces in this area so far this year. The brand remains on track to reach 85 establishments in the fiscal year.
