The well-known UK brand is to leave South Korea following five years of operation, according to Edaily.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the company has witnessed a deepening deficit and this has led to the decision. The source also revealed that JD Sports Korea had notified all employees of the exit plan.
The business entered South Korea in 2017 through a joint venture deal with South Korean footwear company Shoemaker and its first store launched in April 2018.
Currently, the company operates 14 directly managed stores across the country, including at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul and Starfield Goyang.
