JYP Unveils Pop-Up Store

The K-pop agency JYP Entertainment, who represent such artists as Twice, Itzy and Stray Kids, have opened doors at a pop-up store in Tokyo.

The new store, which was set up and revealed in the Ginza neighbourhood of the Japanese capital launched on Saturday and is set to run until 31 August. As well as selling merchandise related to the agency’s artists, an exhibition marking the boy band 2PM’s 10year anniversary in Japan is also taking place. The company said costumes that girl groups Twice and NiziU wore are also on display.

Visits to the pop-up store are only available for those who have made reservations in advance. JYP’s artists have built a solid fandom in the Asian country. NiziU, the nine-piece girl group launched by JYP and Japan’s Sony Music Entertainment, recently topped a key daily and weekly music chart in Japan with its second single “Take a picture / Poppin’ Shakin’.”
