Located in the Kenzo Tange Airline Building, Kimyona blends the art of photography with modern Asian cuisine.
The venue’s design draws inspiration from the darkroom’s elements, including black-and-white film and red light exposure. The experience begins in a street-side gallery, accessing the dining space through a hidden door. Once inside, the dimly lit atmosphere sets the stage for an immersive experience.
Signature dishes include duck bao, Burmese fermented tea leaf salad and Javanese-inspired chicken curry, showcasing innovative techniques in Asian cuisine.
The dining experience is enhanced by mocktails such as Osaka Sanmi, infused with matcha and mint and Kimyona Breeze, crafted with sweet basil. Each element of the menu is designed to complement the ambience and engage diners in a sensory journey.
Owner Abdullah Alazzaz says: “The starting point for this project was to create a sense of belonging, a space where people can go to disconnect from the daily distractions of the city. What better way to do that than indulging in conversation with friends or family over a delicious meal?”
