King Charles III-Themed Exhibition Unveiled

An exhibition of artwork created by students from local primary schools commemorating the King’s Coronation is being hosted at Bluewater.

Dartford MP, Gareth Johnson, tasked the borough’s primary school children with creating portraits of His Majesty the King to celebrate his upcoming Coronation. Pupils from 20 schools entered the competition, with each school selecting two lucky winners. The winning 40 portraits have been unveiled at an exhibition at Bluewater. The display is open until 12 May and can be found on the Lower Rose Gallery, outside Leon.

James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, commented: “We are delighted to be marking His Majesty’s upcoming Coronation with an art exhibition that the youngest members of our local community have created. The winning portraits are fantastic, and it is great to see each child’s own interpretation of the King shine through.

Dartford MP, Gareth Johnson, said: “The King’s Coronation is a momentous occasion; it is something this country has not seen for generations, and it is an opportunity for the country to come together.
