Called ‘Live from the KitKat Chocolatory’, the new experience gives Australians the opportunity to purchase items online.
Livestreamed from the KitKat flagship boutique in Sydney, the new shopping experience allows viewers to make direct purchases by typing a certain keywords into the comment box, this in turn triggers an automatic notification to direct users to purchase online. Viewers can treat themselves or their loved ones to a number of limited-time offers and special chocolate creations.
In a time of struggle for many retailers, brands are striving to stay relevant and the launch of this new e-commerce solution is just the start for Nestle commented Joyce Tan, Head of Marketing for the company.
“The fact that KitKat Chocolatory has multiple touchpoints with physical boutique locations in Melbourne and Sydney and a strong direct-to-consumer presence with kitkat.com.au, coupled with a breadth of exclusive, bespoke and new flavours, makes KitKat the ideal partner to bring the joy of Christmas gifting through mobile,” commented Dan Sinfield, Industry Head CPG at Facebook.
