The luxury British footwear and accessories retailer is set to open nine new stores across the UK when non-essential retail opens from Monday April 12.
The new standalone store locations will be housed in Cheshire Oaks, Swindon, Bridgend, Cannock and two the Victoria Quarter in Leeds which will include a Kurt Geiger store and a new Carvela concept store. Additionally, the brand will open a new store in Stratford London alongside a further two London based concessions, which will be located in Morley’s department store in Brixton and in Selby’s on Holloway Road.
The nine new stores will create around 50 new jobs and the brand comments that it hopes to reemploy a number of staff members that were made redundant from its Debenhams concessions.
Chief Executive Officer of the brand, Neil Clifford, comments: “At Kurt Geiger, we continue to believe passionately in the high street, and continuing to protect our employees’ jobs as much as possible is a priority for us.”
