Kyiv’s Ocean Mall Announces Opening Date

The new 300,000sq m shopping mall is being developed by Mandarin Plaza and will be connected with the existing Ocean Plaza.

The highly-anticipated mall will bring together the most popular retail segments of family, sports and children’s fashion as well as homeware, personal care and a food gallery that hosts more than 50 diverse dining options. The mall’s hypermarket anchor alone covers an area of 9,000sq m.

A dedicated 20,000sq m space will be utilised as an entertainment area with a laser IMAX cinema and a Galaxy Entertainment children’s zone.

Vitalii Boiko, CEO of NAI Ukraine says: “Also we should mention that Kyiv is one of the largest European capitals with forecasting population about five million people in 2025 and total catchment area (with satellites and tourists) over nine million people. It is also necessary to take into account the fact that today Kyiv is a tourist rock star, its attendance increased by 9 per cent in 2021 and continues to grow, with more two million tourists per year.”
