Germany: The health resort group Lanserhof has opened a property on the island of Sylt, north of Germany.
With a total investment of €120 million over five years, Lanserhof Sylt has opened with 55 room and suites. Designed by architect Christoph Ingenhoven, the resort has been built using sustainable, non-emitting materials.
All accommodation sits under a thatched roof and each feature a private balcony. Selected rooms feature FreshBed technology in addition to a human-centric lighting concept which keeps guests in sync with the natural biorhythm.
In addition to the main building, the resort offers two saltwater indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, vapour baths, fitness room, e-bike rental, and an “energy cuisine” concept.
Under the medical management of Dr. Jan Stritzke, the range of services available at Lanserhof Sylt include medical consultations and individual therapies.
Stritzke said: “At Lanserhof Sylt, the magic of a new beginning can not only be felt but experienced. Surrounded by the unique and ever-present nature of Sylt, the new health resort awaits guests in a place where modern, flowing and natural architecture radiates tranquillity and at the same time combines modern cutting-edge medicine with the help of state-of-the-art equipment and alternative naturopathy.
“The natural and traditional combined with the new and modern are thus reflected in both the architecture of the resort and at the same time in the medical concept. This is something very unique. For this new Lanserhof experience we have built a great team of physicians, therapists, sports and nutrition scientists and beauticians. I can’t wait to introduce it to our guests.”
Lanserhof launched its first outpatient health centre in Hamburg in 2012. A second location, Lanserhof Tegernsee (Bavaria), came in 2014 followed by Lanserhof at The Arts Club (London) in 2019. LANS Cardio, a centre for cardiology, was established in Hamburg in 2020
