Launched on 14 December at 16 boulevard des Capucines, in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, Le Tanneur has opened the doors of its new flagship.
This flagship aims to embody the artisanal heritage and leather craftsmanship of the brand founded in 1898. The location, which has a customisation workshop, allows visitors to discover artisanal leatherwork. This boutique should also replace the one on Rue Caumartin, located nearby, which is due to close its doors.
Last September, Nicolas Gibert, the new CEO of Le Tanneur, explained to FashionNetwork.com that this showcase would be “the new flagship of Le Tanneur”. The brand, which has around thirty boutiques and corners in France, currently generates 25 per cent of its turnover via its e-commerce site.
Since the delisting in November 2022 of its parent company Le Tanneur & Cie (which also has a subcontracting activity), Le Tanneur no longer communicates its financial results. However, according to the accounts filed by the company, for its 2023 financial year, Le Tanneur recorded a turnover of 27 million euros, stable compared to the previous year.
