Toy company Lego has opened the world’s largest Lego store in Sydney, featuring a minifigure factory, a story-telling table and a pick-and-build wall.
The 900sq m two-storey Lego store at Sydney Arcade opened its doors to the public on Saturday 11 November.
The store also features architectural landmarks of Australia, such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, made of Lego bricks.
“We hope the unveiling of the world’s largest Lego store in Australia will delight both local and international brick fans, whilst creating lasting memories and standing as a tribute to the creative possibilities of the globally famous Lego brick,” said Troy Taylor, VP and GM at Lego ANZ.
The minifigure factory allows customers to customise their own minifigure and witness it printed at the store. Meanwhile, the story-telling table lets customers see Lego’s behind-the-scene design process through interviews and videos displayed on screens. The pick-and-build wall enables customers to choose the exact Lego brick elements needed for their personalised builds. Customers can also enjoy hands-on play opportunities using the Lego Play Wall.
