The London-based Italian delicatessen and restaurant has opened its first overseas flagship store in the Omotesando district of Tokyo.
Founded in 1944 in the iconic SoHo district of London, Lina Stores was named after its founder Lina, originally from Genoa, Italy. The brand has three stores located in the heart of London and has quickly become the hub of the Italian community in the capital city.
The store was brought into Japan through a partnership with Lina Stores and RT Corporation, a local company that is responsible for overseeing the food and beverage department of the Takashimaya Group. RT Corporation currently operates around 100 stores, including Taiwan’s Din Tai Fund and Hong Kong-based Sugar Morning.
Customers can enjoy Lina Stores signature fresh homemade pasta, which can be seen being made in an open theatre kitchen. Customers are also able to purchase Italian products such as cooking ingredients and wine imported from Italy. The restaurant’s signature pistachio colour adorns the store façade and is also utilised through interior designs.
