LOEWE Opens Casa LOEWE in Hong Kong

LOEWE has expanded its presence at Harbour City shopping centre in Hong Kong, establishing a full-fledged Casa LOEWE flagship store there.

The retail space measures no less than 395sq m spread across two floors, and sees a partially site-specific interior design by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson and the brand’s in-house design team.

A focal point in the store is a wooden staircase that not only connects both floors, but also anchors the chosen aesthetic. The overall palette is distinctly Mediterranean and colourful with an artisanal twist that exudes LOEWE‘s brand values, featuring materials such as brass, iron and ceramic tiles, all mixed and matched with concrete and glass.

The premises are dotted with a tightly curated range of furnishings that further enhance the settings, including Gerrit Rietveld’s iconic Utrecht chairs by Cassina, Axel Vervoordt‘s coffee tables, an Uchiwa lamp by Ingo Maurer, chairs by George Nakashima, handmade wool carpets from Spain depicting images by London-based graphic artist John Allen.

A selection of artworks can also be found, including a large painting, entitled Group Hug by Nigerian artist Nengi Omuku who paints onto panels of a traditional Nigerian fabric known as Sanyan, works by previous LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize winner Ernst Gamperl, and as if to emphasise the brand’s Spanish heritage, one of Pablo Picasso’s whimsical Têtes jugs in earthenware.

The newly opened Casa LOEWE carries the full range of men’s and women’s apparel, bags, shoes, accessories, fragrances and scented candles.
