Lulu Group International’s entity, Line Investments and Property, in partnership with Star Cinemas, has announced a joint venture aimed to open 22 new cinema screens in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Scheduled to begin operations by September 2023, this innovative collaboration will inject a fresh lease of life into the existing cinematic realm, enhancing the total count of screens operated by Star Cinemas from its current tally of 76.
This initiative aims to set new standards of movie-watching, allowing customers to immerse themselves in captivating experiences. The screens will be strategically located across four malls in the region.
Al Raha Mall is expected to have three screens, whereas Al Wahda Mall will accommodate nine screens. Al Foah Mall and Al Barari Outlet Mall will be equipped with six and four screens respectively. As the venture gains momentum, the potential for expansion into other malls remains a possibility.
During a momentous agreement-signing event, MA Ashraf Ali, the Executive Director of Lulu Group International, and Ahmad Golchin, the esteemed Founder and Chairman of Phars Film and Star Cinemas, inked the collaborative pact.
“We are delighted to partner with Star Cinemas to lead the entertainment facilities in our malls. Their commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with our vision, promising an immersive and captivating movie-going experience that sets new entertainment standards for our patrons,” Ali said.
