Shurooq has signed a franchise agreement with Marriott International for two new projects set in the emirate’s stunning East Coast of Sharjah.
The agreement which was signed by Shurooq’s Sharjah Collection & Hotels Management and Marriott International, marks the debut of the iconic hotel group’s Autograph Collection in Sharjah. According to a statement, two new hospitality projects by Shurooq (Sharjah Investment and Development Authority) in Kalba and Khorfakkan will operate under the Autograph Collection brand.
Khorfakkan Hotel will be developed on a land area of approximately 38,000sq m and will be located opposite the Khorfakkan Port. The hotel will feature 75 deluxe units, the UAE’s first waterpark in the East Coast, a yacht club, residencies, and retail options such as restaurants, spa and gym facilities.
The other five-star development, Kalba Hotel, will span a land area of around 60,000sq m in Kalba on Sharjah’s eastern coast. It will be situated adjacent to the Kalba waterfront project and opposite the Kalba flag square.
