Located in Henley, in the newly created Gardiner Place development, the new store is expected to open on November 26.
The news comes following the opening of Majestic Wine’s 199th store yesterday. Located in Beckenham in South London, the store features an array of new customer experiences including new tasting counters and fine wine fixtures. These new initiatives are also expected to be present in the 200th store launching later this month.
Majestic Wine’s portfolio has actually shrunk over recent years, and the brand has seen 30 stores close. However, Chief Executive John Colley said that bringing the brands portfolio back up to 200 stores was something he was incredibly invested in doing.
Colley comments: “These are two locations we’ve had our eyes on for some time. The team have worked incredibly hard, in really challenging circumstances, to get these open in time for Christmas and we’ve packed them full of some fantastic new wines, beers and spirits to help spread some joy through an unprecedented festive season.”
He concludes: “I’m delighted that we’re able to still open stores and inspire new customers – even during such a difficult time.”
