Malls across America have been broken into and looted during the weekend during the ongoing protests against the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police.
The protests hit Santa Monica Place Mall which saw hundreds arrested on Saturday afternoon, when looters smashed storefronts at both the mall and other businesses in the downtown area. Police had to call in the National Guard to help try and rein in the voilence.
Bellevue Square, which is located in the Seattle metro saw two security guards injured and severe property damage was caused by protestors, with Police Chief Steve Mylett reporting that it’s destroyed inside.
