The Spanish fashion brand is finally celebrating the opening of its first store in the South American country, more than two months after announcing its arrival in the Uruguayan market.
The new Mango store is situated in the Montevideo Shopping mall, one of the most important shopping establishments in the capital. Occupying an area of 450sq m and located on the second level of the Montevideo complex, the store exclusively sells the brand’s line of women’s fashion including clothing, footwear and accessories.
According to a recent publication from the newspaper El País, the incorporation of the men’s and children’s offerings from the firm could be materialised in a short time period and the expansion of the brand would include up to three stores in the local market.
The brand’s entry in Uruguay is led by the local division of Forus, a leading Chilean company in the distribution and operations of international brands across key South American countries including Peru, Colombia, Chile and Uruguay.
